Privacy policy
TamePDF is built so that your documents stay yours. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your files and data.
Your files
Tools marked “On your device” process files entirely inside your browser. Your files are not uploaded to TamePDF servers, and we cannot see them. When you close the page, the files are gone from memory.
The one optional exception
Every tool runs on your device. The only exception is optional: for an Apple Pages file we can only approximate in the browser, you can choose — where offered, and only after you agree — to have an exact copy made by our conversion partner CloudConvert. The file is sent over an encrypted connection and deleted there as soon as your PDF is ready.
Data we collect
We don’t require an account for free tools. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and local storage
We store a few preferences in your browser — like your theme, language and saved signature — only on your device. We don’t use advertising cookies.
